Troop 92 boasts 33 Eagle scouts since its inception 17 years ago. As part of the Eagle requirement scouts lead a service project that helps the Town, Conservation Commission, SOLF, Schools and Park Lands. All scouts, parents and friends participate in these important community service projects.
Scouting for Food
This is a food drive that helps stock the community food pantry for those less fortunate and in need of food supplements. Scouts distribute bags to mailboxes at each house in town, then collect them a week later for distribution to the pantry.
Each year at Christmas time Troop 92 hosts Kid’s Shop at the Woodward elementary school. This is considered a fund raiser but more importantly also a community service since Kids can come and do their Christmas shopping for relatively inexpensive gifts for parents, siblings, grandparents and the like. The Shop coincides with Santa’s visit at the Southborough Community House. In addition to the Shop there is food and deserts
St. Anne’s Church represent proprietorship of the house adjacent to the church property. Scouts and adults assist throughout the year in routine maintenance and upkeep on the house.
